Ship hauling with airbags have the advantage of no need of fixed launching track. This hauling or launching technology is full of flexibility, reliability and operation safety.
REQUIREMENT OF VESSEL UPGRADING HAULING WITH MARINE AIRBAGS
- Prepare the ship well
- Calculate quantity of airbags required
- Ramp way
- Airbags
- Winch
SHIP HAULING OUT OR BEACHING PROCEDURE
- Fasten the ship with winch through wire rope or cable.
- Select a reasonable position near the bottom of bow to insert one or more airbags which will act as the fulcrum for winch to move the ship when inflated and lift up the bow. If it’s difficult to insert airbags at the bottom of bow, people may insert them from one side to another. For heavy ships, total quantity of lifting airbags should be added untill they can lift up the bow. For V type ships, the bow lifting airbags should be inserted at the point of where they can have big contact areas with the bottom of ship. Also, while at low tide, people may place airbags at appropriate position and pull the ship when high tide upon airbags.
- While bow lifted, start the winch to pull ship towards lands and insert more airbags to the space between ship bottom and land until the ship fully pulled upon slipway.
- Charge airbags further to lift ship bottom higher, then inserting wooden stands and withdraw airbags.
