Pick up buoys(PUB), Cylindrical Buoys(CB) and Chain Through Buoys(CTB) are the main types of general surface support buoys, a surface buoyancy, extensively used in single mooring(SPM)systems.
Construction
All general surface support buoys in our company are constructed of resilient closed cell EVA/PE foam, themolaminated around internal steelwork and encapsulated within a tough, abrasion resistant polyurethane elastomer skin.
Laminated Closed Cell Resilient Foam Core
We produce surface support buoys in closed cell EVA/PE foam core. This foam can ensure the buoy body no absorb of water even when the skin is punctured. Increasing lifespan of the buoy and reducing maintain cost. The resilient material keep buoy self-fendering with a high impact absorption capacity. The whole foam body is manufactured in unique laminating process, in which the foam core integrity, can not be ruptured.
Filament Reinforcement Polyurethane Outer Skin
General surface support buoys’ out skin is sprayed with durable and flexible polyurethane elastomer, reinforced with high tensile filament layer. It is selef-colored, resistant to both abrasion and ultra violet degration. For extreme operating conditions, the skin can be reinforced to add further strength.
Steel Central Work and End Assembly
Surface support buoys’ end are designed with longitudinal gussets and external load distribution hot dipped galvanized flanges. Central tension member designed or pass through to suit proper safe working load, securing buoy to the chain, to moor ships or as a marker and pick up duties. We provide optional end designs like clevis eye, swivel, bail eye, chain locking plate, single locking pin device etc.
