Yokohama fenders or floating fenders are all yokohama pneumatic fenders to absorb impact mooring energy. Rubber yokohama floating fenders are super durable and perform good elasticities, differ from solid marine rubber fenders, it has higher tolerance can be deformed to 60% without any crackles. Yokohama floating pneumatic fenders are regularly named “yokohama type fenders” or “floating pneumatic rubber fenders” as per ISO 17357.
Types of yokohama fenders
while referring to classification of yokohama fenders, there are as well two major categories:
– Type I: yokohama pneumatic fenders with chains and tire nets, with initial pressure 50kPa or 80kPa;
– Type II: yokohama floating fenders without chains and tire nets, sling type, 50kPa or 80kPa;
Yokohama fenders can be designed in navy grey color for navy ships, traditional black color and opptional red color. Meanwhile, we can manufacture rope type pneumatic fenders and ribbed type pneumatic marine rubber fenders etc.
Application of yokohama pneumatic fenders
As it is known, yokohama pneumatic fenders are used for ship to docks berthing, ship to ships transfer since ykohama fenders perform a better energy absorption and reaction force while at 60% deflection between big compression. Yokohama floating pneumatic fenders have a lighter weight and can be shipped in deflated status which save much for customers. Accordingly, they are widely applied for oil & gas field, shipbuilding and marine industry, offshore and subsea, petrochemical energy industry fileds. Besides ship to ship, ship to dock, floating yokohama fenders are driven to new emerging LNG vessels’ marine market.
Features of yokohama type fenders
- Higer energy absorption coming with soft reaction force
