Floating pneumatic rubber fenders are rubber marine pneumatic floating fender for ships. tested by ISO 17357. Yokohama floating pneumatic fenders are typically referred to “Yokohama fenders” ” floating yokohama fenders”. Floating pneumatic rubber fenders are one of rubber fenders among ships and offshore fendering systems. Pneumatic rubber fenders are manufactured with heavy duty synthetic-tire-cord-rubber dipped layers with inflatable air sealed. Floating Pneumatic fenders work on water, as a bumper to absorb energy generated while two vessels or barges for STS transfers and Ship to berthing (STB) operations.
Floating pneumatic rubber fenders construction
As per ISO standard, we manufacture floating pneumatic fenders with an outer rubber layer, reinforcedsynthetic tire cord rubber dipped layers and inner rubber layers, accordingly, yokohama pneumatic floating fenders produced can totally combine to requirements of International Standard ISO 17357 Ships and marine technology – High pressure floating pneumatic fenders.
- Outer rubber layers
Outer rubber layers of rubber floating pneumatic fenders have hard tensile and tear strength to tolerant tough sea weather conditions and severe working areas. it is used to protect inner rubber layer and middle reinforced synthetic-tire-cord rubber dipped layers of floating marine pneumatic fenders from abrasion and external forces’ damage.
- Reinforced synthetic-tire-cord rubber dipped layers
Reinforced synthetic-tire-cord-rubber dipped layers is the skeleton of one pneumatic fenders. They are enlaced one by one either with mold or manually to further reinforce marine pneumatic floating fenders’ inner body.
- Inner Rubber Layer
Inner rubber layer is sealed with pressurized air inside, 50 Kpa or 80 Kpa work as inner body of floating pneumatic marine fenders.
Floating pneumatic fenders feature
- Material properties. Our rubber floating pneumatic marine rubber fenders is made of heavy duty rubber layers, which has better tear resistance, anti-aging and strong toughness. This material properties ensure a higher performance of yokohama pneumatic rubber fenders while barges are working under severe conditions and cyclic loads.
- Easily installation. Comparing with solid marine rubber fenders or foam filled marine fenders, floating pneumatic rubber fenders have a slight weight due to its air filled innder fender body though with chains and tire nets outside, they can be easier installed on sides of vessels with guy-ropes or hot dipped galvanized chains.
- Good performance. Floatingyokohama rubber pneumatic fenders will still perform good while they are still under compression of 15 degrees, resisting shearing force and maintaining higher energy absorption. Pneumatic rubber floating fenders will supply low and comparatively hull pressure accordingly.
Floating fenders’ dimension and specification
Floating yokohama type pneumatic marine rubber fenders are specified in terms of Guaranteed Energy Absorption(GEA), Reaction Force at GEA deflection, and Hull Pressure at GEA deflection of rubber floating pneumatic fenders. Here follows are two standarded dimension lists based on initial pressure 50 Kpa and 80 Kpa.
Floating pneumatic rubber fenders’ pressure requirements
As for pressure requirements, it means internal pressure of floating pneumatic rubber fenders’ body. We have two international standarded initial pressure for rubber marine floating yokohama pneumatic fenders which are 50 Kpa and 80 Kpa as per ISO 17357-1 with conformed endurable pressure, safety-valve setting pressure and hydraulic test pressure ect.
— at pressure of 50 kPa for rubber floating marine pneumatic fenders
— at pressure of 80 kPa for rubber floating marine pneumatic fenders
